Step 1: Selecting a primary mentor/home institution
Candidates must first be accepted by a mentor with the CIHR ASD Training Program and the home department at the primary mentor’s University, in order to be considered for application to the Training Program.
Each candidate should write a 1-2 page cover letter that describes why she/he is interested in the CIHR ASD Training Program. This should include the candidate’s reasons for applying, goals and how this program will contribute to the achievement of these goals. Candidates should also specify the names of the mentors with whom they have made an arrangement.
A complete resume including any publications and presentations.
The Trainee application form and supporting documents will be distributed to The Admissions, Review, and Funding committee.
Once a candidate has been accepted by a primary mentor, the trainee will work together with the primary mentor to develop an interdisciplinary research program which will be submitted to the Training Program Selection Committee.
